We are in the final steps of partnership with the Acts 29 Network. The last couple of days have seen several communications back and forth between Sojourn and A29. Yesterday, they received a signed covenant from me and they finalized their background checks. We are in the final stage as a “candidate” church. I now have access to church planter coaching and other resources. Sweet! The “Welcome to Acts 29” email was music to my eyes. ;)
I will let you all know when things are finalized.
Seek Christ and His Kingdom,

Congrats Dave! How did you
Congrats Dave! How did you choose Acts29?
My exposure to the Acts 29
My exposure to the Acts 29 Network began when I met Mark Driscoll in 1999. He and a few other emerging leaders spoke at a “Gen-X” conference. I was blown away at how Driscoll and Mars Hill Church were engaging the people and culture of Seattle. I prided myself on thinking outside of the box. Driscoll was much further in his thinking. As I kept tabs on him I found out about the formation of the Acts 29 Network. Around 2003, Danielle and I got to spend some time with several Acts 29 leaders.
I was sold on:
- the commitment to Christ
- the commitment to the Gospel
- the commitment to Scripture
- the commitment to a reformed theological lens
- the commitment to engage culture
- the commitment to building relational bridges with the lost
- the commitment to planting churches that plant churches
They have been called theologically conservative and socially liberal. That is an accurate statement. We hold to strong, biblical theology, but we are not afraid of engaging culture. We do this because we believe that Jesus is the completion of each person’s, each tribe’s and each culture’s story.
