Some Huntsville folks are putting together a relief trip for Lakeshore, MS. The trip will be 18-23Feb08. The cost is $50. See information below

This trip is being done by the Southern Baptist disaster relief group. They do a fantastic job with these types of projects. I’d be interested to know if any of you jump on this.

“We are planning our next trip to Lakeshore, MS on 2/18/08. We will leave Athens at 6:00 am and return on Saturday 2/23/08. We don’t have any specific job assignments at this time, but there’s still lots of work to be done. If you check their website (www.rebuildlakeshore.com) you can see some of the ongoing projects. Be sure and bring old work clothes, sweatshirts, tools and any special needs items that you you will require. $50.00 per person usually covers food expenses for the week - anything left over we will donate to the church. There is no charge to stay at the church. Cots or beds are provided - you will need to furnish your bedding. Showers and laundry are available - bring your towels, wash cloths, soap, shampoo, etc. Special skills are not required to serve the Lord in Lakeshore. There are many opportunities to serve - cooking, distribution center, cleaning, yard work, construction, just to name a few. A willing heart and smile of encouragement can make
a world of difference in someone’s life! Please reply to this email so that we can get an estimate of the number f folks who will be going. We will need to let the church know how many to plan for.
